Celebrate MATARIKI

aws fire danceIts that special time again where we celebrate Matariki. A traditional  time for connecting with and giving thanks to, the land,sea and sky. Its also a time where we farewell those deparated and for acknnowledging the year gone by, and look to the future to celebrate new beginnings.
Come and join the celebrations at Te Ana Moari Rock Art on Sunday the 28th of June at 6pm for an outdoor performance of taonga puoro (traditional Maori musical instruments) by Al Fraser, accompanied by gigantic projections from Aoraki Polytech's School of Art and Design; kapahaka from Nga Manukura and beautiful fire performance!!
